Recently a friend of mine shared the article “9 Brutally real reasons why millennials refuse to have kids” and there was the radio show on “All the Single Ladies” that was talking about how more and more woman are choosing to not get married or have children.

This is important not only because of the change that is happening and reminding us of that change but this is also a reminder that these lifestyles that we assume that are meant to be used to not always be like they are today. These

Racism

A friend of mine blog’d, so I am continuing the thread, sort of.

Racism is interesting. I mean the term “racism” itself is interesting in that different people interpret it differently. To me, racism is “discriminating someone because of their race”. This “act of discriminating” begins in our thought / belief and slowly crawls out of us or at least it tries to crawl out and it is at that point that we first have the opportunity of dealing with racism within ourselves.

Apple AirPods

At $159 these are going to be the most expensive pair or head-phone thing I will have ever bought.

But I am excited about it. I only hope it switches from my various devices as well as they eluded to in the Apple Event.

I am a bit disappointed that these won’t be available till October 13th (and that they are going to be $159 for a pair).

Emotion

Joy, Love, Happiness, Guilt, Shame, Pride, Fear, Hate, Anger. These are all emotions we spontaneously feel within ourselves. We evoke them in others – knowingly and without knowledge. We manipulate them in ourselves and in others.

You cannot buy love.

Well, yes and no. But let’s get to that later. For now let’s look into “should you buy love”?

BTW, yes you CAN buy love. As a matter of fact that is exactly what we do. We buy love from one another. But not in the traditional sense. Just because we don’t always exchange “money” to get love does not mean that we are not paying for the love that we desire. We simply pay for it in a different way. Ideally with love in exchange.

Joy / Happy – though not exactly the same, I suppose they could be categorized together.

Guilt

Shame

Pride

Fear

Hate

Anger

Compassion

Sympathy / Empathy

Love

Travel

We have made so much progress in being able to physically travel from any place on the world to a different place, yet so few of us actually do take advantage.

While like many of you I too would love to travel and visit so many places. What I would really love to do is go somewhere and live, get an apartment and actually live, there for a significant amount of time – say 3 to 6 months. With remotely working becoming more and more an everyday thing I think I could do this without having to take time off from “work”.

  • How many of us have moved / travelled 100 miles / 200 miles / 1,000 miles from our place of birth?
  • How frequently do we travel?
  • How many different cultures have we been exposed to?
