Television is probably the media that has most dramatically evolved in my life time. It used to be that I ONLY had access to a single channel about 6 hours a day and an additional 4 hours on the weekend.

The hours expanded, eventually to 24 hours. More channels were added, to the point that I no longer care of 90% of them. And now with streaming services and DVR capability, am almost to the point where I no longer watch live TV. At least not as much as I used to.

Of course I am paying more. While I do have a lot more choice, it feels to me that most of my choices are what I don’t want to watch.
