Copy’ing off iPod

I have an old iPod that I have a lot of music on. Unfortunately I longer have the computer I was using when I copied my music onto it. Now that I have my iPhone, I am needing to get the music off the old iPod, w/o loosing any, and putting them on the iPhone.

Conveniently, Apple does not provide any tool for this (I’m being sarcastic, in case you couldn’t tell).
Well . . . after some bithcing and complaining (I’m too lazy to look for a solution myself) my friend found me expod v0.7.3.
I hope to use this tonite and update tomorrow.

Tweet & Tumbl

What I don’t want / am NOT looking for is an app that will allow me to post my tweets to Tumblr or my Tumbl post to Twitter. What I want is to be able to “post” to both Twitter & Tumblr (and maybe some other “thing”) together.

To Google or Not to Google

I find it interesting that google, having influenced the online community as much as they have, have not been able to influence us with some of the newer offerings. for example:

  • ORKUT
  • Picasaweb

I’m not complaining, because I think  this is a good thing that they have not

flickr – “Add a Person”

It’s a new feature that flickr has added quite recently – it allows flickr users to “Add a Person” specifically – instead of simply adding a tag with the person’s name.

To see a list of “people” added in my photostream click on http://www.flickr.com/photos/smriti/people/ and to see pix / images I have been added to as a Person click on http://www.flickr.com/people/smriti/photosof/

What most excites me about this particular feature – once I’m added to a pix (that is not mine), I have access to the pix even if it is not publicly available.

To add myself to a pix is really easy. All I have to do is be logged in as myself. Then as I find myself in a pix (no matter who owns the image), I simply click on the “Add a person” link to the right of the image (just above the tags).
