I came to Austin, TX in the Fall of ’89 to go to UT. And since then have called this home. Having lived here ~20 years, and counting, I have not lived anywhere else longer.

I find out about this event totally by accident. I didn’t have my zoom lens with me, so left to go get it. But got stuck with “other” stuff and didn’t make it back :o( Didn’t even find out about the band. Really bummed about it. Hopefully I’ll run into them again sometime soon.

The Pit
Salt Lick Beef Brisket Untitled Beef Ribs Plate

The food is quite similar but the experience is not :o( Maybe it’s the fact that

  • you don’t necessarily have to drive 40minutes to get there
  • you don’t walk as wide a parking area
  • you didn’t have to make sure to have “cash” on you

whatever it is, somehow the “experience” is somewhat less.
